Bogi Nils has served as President and CEO of Icelandair Group since December 2018 after having served as CFO since 2008 and Interim President and CEO from August 2018. Bogi has 23,625,000 shares and 22,100,000 share options and has no interest links with the Company’s main clients, competitors, or major shareholders.
Árni has served as Managing Director of Loftleidir Icelandic since January 2018 after having served as the Chief Financial Officer of the company since 2002.
Einar Már has served as Managing Director Air Freight and Logistics since September 2023 after having worked as Director at the Company's Technical operations since 2015.
Elísabet has served as Chief Human Resources Officer since January 2018.
Ívar was appointed as CFO in May 2021. He has been with the Company since 2010, his last position as Director in Finance.
Rakel has served as Chief Digital Officer since March 2022.
Sylvía has served as Chief Operating Officer since August 2023. Prior to that she served as Chief Customer Officer. Sylvía rejoined Icelandair in 2022.
Tómas was appointed Chief Commercial Officer in August 2023. Previously, Tómas served as Chief Revenue Officer since November 2021. From February 2019 to November 2021, Tómas was Chief Information Officer and assumed additional responsibilities for Network and Strategy as Chief Business Development Officer in April 2020.

In August 2023 it was resolved to combine the Customer and Revenue divisions into a single Commercial division. Tómas Ingason is responsible for the Commercial division as Chief Commercial Officer. Sylvía Kristín Ólafsdóttir moved from the role of Chief Customer Officer to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Jens Bjarnason stepped down as Icelandair’s Chief Operating Officer and moved to a role, as Safety & Compliance Director, within the Company. In September, Einar Már Guðmundsson took on the role of Interim Managing Director of Icelandair Cargo and took a seat on the Executive Committee. He was permanently appointed to the position in November.
The ratio of women within the executive management team was 38% at year-end 2023 compared to 33% in 2022. The Company has set itself a goal that the gender ratio of either men or women in management positions is never below 40%. The proportion of women in management positions in 2023 was 42%.
